Be a Part of my New Years Resolution

So.... First of all Merry Christmas. I am writing this at 2am Christmas morning haha. No not because I have kids that got me up there early or something, just because I am bored haha.

I have some new things that I am super excited about. And guess what, you can be a part of them. As many of you might know... I am lucky enough to be a pretty successful wedding photographer. This really frees me up to work about 20 days a year (yes I know.. don't kill me) and be able to do what I want the rest of the time. What have I done with this freedom? Well.... pretty much watched tv and slept in.

My new years resolution is to change that!!

There are several ways that you might see yourself getting involved in this.
1. "The Model Consortium" - The idea is to have a large collection of girls, almost like a club of people that are number 1: RELIABLE, number 2. Available for spontaneous shoots, 3. Having amazing attitudes and energy.

My major resolution is to push myself to shoot something every single day. I don't care what it is, but I will be shooting something. Of course I love shooting people the most. So I want to have people readily available that I can just call up and say, hey... throw on something fashionable and lets go try something new!!

You will be a guinea pig.... thats for certain. But you will no doubt get some great shots as well.

Is there a fee for this? No not really. However... I am considering charging an initial "membership fee" good for at least one year, maybe longer, to be a part of the "club". Do I do this to make money? Hell no. If you know me, you know my fees are about $150 an hour, and you would probably be paying that or around that for a years membership into this models club.
What this does is make me assured that you take this seriously. People take things a lot more seriously when they have invested some money into it.

So... if your fun to work with, I might use you multiple times. Of course the cooler you are to work with, and the more flexible you are in your scheduling, the more times you'll probably be used, duh.

Anyways... if you want to be a part of that, please let me know. My initial thoughts is somewhere around the $150-200 mark.

Do you have to be cute/pretty/beautiful? Well sure. Appearance does matter, but personality and how nice you are is just as important. I'd be able to tell you before you joined if I think it would work out for ya.

2. "The NEPA Photographers Club".
I will be starting a new photographers club for people in and around the nepa area. This will be a group that we get together at least twice a month and just really open up the doors of creativity. Going out on location, with models (i.e. the model club members) and just really learning from each other and trying new things.

There will be a fee for this as well to join the group. It will go towards many things. Maybe towards some models, but probably mostly hair and makeup artists.

3. My Photographers Forum - I will be starting a paid membership forum where you can join and learn from me in regular posts, video posts, and live posts. Pick my brain and each others on everything from shooting to especially business and how I have quickly become one of the highest paid photographers in the area. This is something that anyone can take part in all across the country.

So as you can see. Some really really cool things happening, and I want YOU to be a part.
Message me if you are interested in any of the above and tell me what you would be interested in.

Thanks!! Look for more posts to come soon on this topic.

Image of the Year

So.... while I have been going through the very long process of getting my site up and working, there has been one image this year that I just keep coming back to as my favorite from the whole year.

It's a shot of Jan & Keith. We took it on the steps of a church in down town Wilkes Barre. Its so awesome because I almost didn't even shoot it. It just happened to be a church that was on the way of us walking back to the reception site at The West Moreland Club. We stopped there and just did a ton of great pics that turned out to probably be my favorites from the session.

But this is the one image that really stuck out with me:

Its just such a simple image but it tells a great story. He can't take his eyes off of her.

I thought about naming my favorite's from different parts of a wedding day for the year, but I didn't want to slight any weddings, as I have really been blessed this year with some great clients.

Look soon for a very exciting post coming about the brand new website. It is being launched as we speak!
