So.... First of all Merry Christmas. I am writing this at 2am Christmas morning haha. No not because I have kids that got me up there early or something, just because I am bored haha.
I have some new things that I am super excited about. And guess what, you can be a part of them. As many of you might know... I am lucky enough to be a pretty successful wedding photographer. This really frees me up to work about 20 days a year (yes I know.. don't kill me) and be able to do what I want the rest of the time. What have I done with this freedom? Well.... pretty much watched tv and slept in.
My new years resolution is to change that!!
There are several ways that you might see yourself getting involved in this.
1. "The Model Consortium" - The idea is to have a large collection of girls, almost like a club of people that are number 1: RELIABLE, number 2. Available for spontaneous shoots, 3. Having amazing attitudes and energy.
My major resolution is to push myself to shoot something every single day. I don't care what it is, but I will be shooting something. Of course I love shooting people the most. So I want to have people readily available that I can just call up and say, hey... throw on something fashionable and lets go try something new!!
You will be a guinea pig.... thats for certain. But you will no doubt get some great shots as well.
Is there a fee for this? No not really. However... I am considering charging an initial "membership fee" good for at least one year, maybe longer, to be a part of the "club". Do I do this to make money? Hell no. If you know me, you know my fees are about $150 an hour, and you would probably be paying that or around that for a years membership into this models club.
What this does is make me assured that you take this seriously. People take things a lot more seriously when they have invested some money into it.
So... if your fun to work with, I might use you multiple times. Of course the cooler you are to work with, and the more flexible you are in your scheduling, the more times you'll probably be used, duh.
Anyways... if you want to be a part of that, please let me know. My initial thoughts is somewhere around the $150-200 mark.
Do you have to be cute/pretty/beautiful? Well sure. Appearance does matter, but personality and how nice you are is just as important. I'd be able to tell you before you joined if I think it would work out for ya.
2. "The NEPA Photographers Club".
I will be starting a new photographers club for people in and around the nepa area. This will be a group that we get together at least twice a month and just really open up the doors of creativity. Going out on location, with models (i.e. the model club members) and just really learning from each other and trying new things.
There will be a fee for this as well to join the group. It will go towards many things. Maybe towards some models, but probably mostly hair and makeup artists.
3. My Photographers Forum - I will be starting a paid membership forum where you can join and learn from me in regular posts, video posts, and live posts. Pick my brain and each others on everything from shooting to especially business and how I have quickly become one of the highest paid photographers in the area. This is something that anyone can take part in all across the country.
So as you can see. Some really really cool things happening, and I want YOU to be a part.
Message me if you are interested in any of the above and tell me what you would be interested in.
Thanks!! Look for more posts to come soon on this topic.

Image of the Year
So.... while I have been going through the very long process of getting my site up and working, there has been one image this year that I just keep coming back to as my favorite from the whole year.
It's a shot of Jan & Keith. We took it on the steps of a church in down town Wilkes Barre. Its so awesome because I almost didn't even shoot it. It just happened to be a church that was on the way of us walking back to the reception site at The West Moreland Club. We stopped there and just did a ton of great pics that turned out to probably be my favorites from the session.
But this is the one image that really stuck out with me:

Its just such a simple image but it tells a great story. He can't take his eyes off of her.
I thought about naming my favorite's from different parts of a wedding day for the year, but I didn't want to slight any weddings, as I have really been blessed this year with some great clients.
Look soon for a very exciting post coming about the brand new website. It is being launched as we speak!

"Reign Over Me" Amazing Movie

I watched this movie tonight, and I have to say... One of the best movies I think I have watched this year. Adam Sandler is in this one. Its definitely not his normal role, and probably some of his best work to date. If you are not a Sandler fan, you should probably watch this movie and I think you might change your mind.
You really feel the emotion in every bit of this movie. Sandler should have been nominated for awards for this movie. But of course they can't do that. In fact, I was shocked to see that almost all the critics hated this movie. I really believe that critics have no idea what they are talking about, including Ebert and Ropert. These are the same people though that thought that Babel was a good movie, and I believe it could have been the worst movie I have ever seen.
So the listen is... don't listen to critics. This is definitely my pick of the week.
On other notes. There is soooo much going on, on the photographic side it just really blows your mind. I am going to make a post here coming up, probably later today about a new headshots series that I am going to start doing, inspired by a recent show about Albert Maysles, and old time photographer. I am really excited about it.
Bookings are almost full for the 08 wedding season, which is really awesome. I am enjoying some much needed time off.
Oh!! And, the studio is finally painted!! How exciting is that! I hope to have pics up soon of the newest develops.
Talk to you all later!

Recent Movie reviews
So many of you know I have the movie theater/showroom at the house here. Well I just watched two movies during editing breaks and thought I would share thoughts.
Transformers is the first one that I watched. I have to say I think that it was probably done the best that it could have been done. The only thing that I didn't really like was that everything was always a tight shot so it made it hard to watch some times. But I know why they did that. It was to make the robots seem even bigger by having them fill the whole screen.
The story was a little weak. I'd have to say that the best part of the movie was just seeing this in real action as opposed to animation. It was just neat to see. There were a few characters though that I wish would have made the movie but didn't.
The other movie I saw recently is: Evan Almighty
If you didn't know this was kindof a sequel if you will to Bruce Almight with Jim Carey. I have to say that this one was ten times better. Maybe its because I like physical comedy or maybe it was Steve vs. Jim, but I found it really good. The story was unrealistic of course, but yah know thats ok. I think its definitely a must watch, plus its a good family movie as well.
Next on my list to watch is: 28 days later & Spider-man 3. I already watched spiderman 3 but thought I would give it another shot now that its on DVD.
Later!

Smith Wedding

Good times good times.
Well it was definitely a very busy weekend but it was a great close to the 07 wedding season. The Smith wedding was in Montrose on Sunday. It was great being back to that church that I had shot at about a year earlier.
We then went up to bingahmton, NY where we had the reception. The place was really great actually. I got to check out the couples room with its amazing balcony and view. Its definitely on the list as a nice get away spot.
Anyways. I am hard at work at the images from both weddings from this weekend.
I will also have the Yanuzzi album to post coming up later this week.
Have fun!

It's Raining Dogs out there!
Sorry, I thought that was a fitting title since it is raining buckets out there, and with the photos I am about to post.
GREAT NEWS though is that the rain is suppose to go away for this weekends two weddings. Thats right... I said it.... I have two weddings this weekend. Saturdays will be at Irem Country Club in Dallas, and Sundays is in Montrose, PA. It will be fun to go back to Montrose as I shot a wedding there last year and now I am shooting what of the groomsman's wedding.
So the other day I shot my first pets shoot. We are going to start offering these stylish type of pet shoots in the near future. So if you got a pet, definitely sign up.
These are two dogs that were brought to the park by one of my friend's Nikki who I shot her modeling photos a year or so ago.

I had real fears that the big dog was going to eat that smaller dog haha. She did survive though so thats good haha.
